The page as site: fostering solidarities through citational practices

The pages as site builds upon the foundations from the panel US-SA Feminist Solidarities: Citational Practices in the Visual Art, that took place online as part of the UNISA conference titled Feminist Readings moderated by Nontobeko Ntombela with a presentation by Portia Malatjie, Serubiri Moses, and Nkule Mabaso.

The first panel considered the metaphor of migration in the visual arts through an explicit focus on the transnational framework of feminist solidarities through United States-South Africa linkages in the area of black and African feminist discourse and performed an examination of citational processes in contemporary South African scholarship. This panel progresses the conversation.
