The Space for Creative Black Imagination was co-founded by Dr. Mel Michelle Lewis, Dr. Sheri Parks, and Dr. Raél Jero Salley.

These colleagues are academics, activists, artists, and scholars who see urgent issues in culture, race, and social justice as opportunities to make solutions via new creative paradigms and scholarly imaginings.

This work is unfettered by conventional constraints of disciplinarity, scale, material, or process.

Dr. Salley serves as Managing Partner & Director.
